Death of SLU Farmer’s Markets are greatly exaggerated

While Metrocenter YMCA killed proposals for a Cascade Neighborhood Market, South Lake Union will still be home to two small farmer’s markets this summer. First Farmboat Lake Union Park Floating Market already started and will be each Thursday from 11am-3pm on the historic steamship Virginia V.

Second, Pike Place Market Express will return with an all-local fresh food selection also on Thursday, but this time in the Amazon Plaza at 410 Terry Ave N from 11:30am to 1:30pm. And of course the nearby all-year markets get even bigger in the summer.
