County health officials identify two measles cases in South Lake Union

King County Public Health officials announced that they have confirmed measles in a six-month-old child and the child’s parent. Both had recently traveled to Asia and neither had been immunized to the disease.

Officials determined the patients had been in several public locations in South Lake Union and downtown before they were diagnosed. Any unimmunized people who may have been exposed will most likely show symptoms between March 21 and April 8.
