SEATTLE – To help meet the health care needs of the swiftly growing Seattle population, Virginia Mason has opened a walk-in clinic serving the South Lake Union area.
The Virginia Mason South Lake Union Walk-In Clinic is at 910 Lenora St., Suite 152, in the Denny Triangle area of downtown Seattle. It is across from the Pan Pacific Hotel in the plaza above Whole Foods.
The clinic serves individuals with minor illnesses and injuries, such as coughs, colds, sprains and strains. It is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Appointments are not needed. A wide range of medical insurance plans are accepted. Patients without health insurance are eligible for a 25 percent discount on certain medically necessary services. The Denny Triangle/South Lake Union area is one of the fastest growing in the city and home to several large employers, such as Amazon, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Microsoft and PEMCO Insurance. An estimated 35,000 people live within a mile radius of the new clinic.
“The area’s population is predominantly young professionals, many of whom are relatively new to the area and do not have a regular primary care provider,” said Donna Smith, MD, executive medical director, Virginia Mason Clinics. “For them, a clinic that provides convenient access to appropriate, high quality and affordable medical care is a priority. We look forward to serving them.”
As a part of Virginia Mason, the new clinic is associated with one of the top health systems in the region. Virginia Mason is consistently recognized for quality and safety by U.S. News & World Report and independent rating organizations such as The Leapfrog Group and Healthgrades. Virginia Mason also has outpatient medical facilities on the hospital campus in the First Hill neighborhood of Seattle; at University Village near the University of Washington; and in Bellevue, Kirkland, Issaquah, Federal Way, Bainbridge Island and Lynnwood.
