14th Annual Norm Blanchard Wooden Boat Regatta to take place at The Center for Wooden Boats This Saturday & Sunday

 

WHAT:      A fun regatta for sailors of wooden boats and a few ‘classic plastic’ boats

Racers Entry Fees range from $4 per foot per day for your boat, or rent a boat from the CWB Fleet

 

Seattle, WA –    Join in the fun at The Center for Wooden Boats in Seattle’s  14th annual Norm Blanchard W.O.O.D. (Wooden Open & One Design) Regatta September 28 through 30, 2012. The regatta will honor the best know name in wooden boatbuilding and yachting in the Pacific Northwest, who’s Blanchard Boat Company on Lake Union, produced more than 2,000 boats over the course of more than 60 years. We will celebrate his life and legacy by racing some of Norm’s boats throughout the weekend races.

 

The regatta is open to all wooden sailboats, from El Toros to large racer cruisers. Once again, CWB is also happyt welcome the ‘Classic Plastic’ fleet, the San Juan 21s and  A Northwest Classic. To register, please visitwww.cwb.org/blanchardregatta, or contactregatta@cwb.org.
