Seattle, WA [August 6, 2013]:  Renowned Seattle architect Tom Kundig’s design of The Center for Wooden Boats (CWB) new Wagner Education Center will be shared with the general public for the first time at the South Lake Union Block Party starting at Noon on Friday, August 9th at 101 Westlake Ave N.

News media interested in learning more about the construction project are invited to a briefing at the CWB booth at the entrance to the Block Party ground at 11:30am, before the event begins.

The new education center, which will be built in Lake Union Park, is largest element in CWB’s $9.5 million capital campaign.  In addition to the new education center, the campaign will fund improvements to CWB’s existing facilities on the north and south shores of Lake Union, and will strengthen the museum’s financial stability.
