Outstanding weather predicted for July 4th, 2013 festivities on Lake Union

Hot, dry stretch ahead, Fourth of July looks promising

Two things you may want to know about the weather headed our way:

It’s going to be hot. High temperatures are expected to rise through the weekend, through the low 80s on Friday and Saturday, into the upper 80s on Sunday and Monday, and rising, possibly into the 90s on  Tuesday or Wednesday –  with some areas of Western Washington having a chance of hitting 100 degrees on Wednesday.

  1. Unless there’s a dramatic atmospheric shift, the warm, dry stretch is likely to continue through next Thursday, pleasing those headed to Fourth of July fireworks shows.
