Museum of History & Industry Partners with Argosy Cruises To Offer Historical Live-Narrated Cruise And Museum Visit Package
SEATTLE – Sea History at the bottom of Lake Union and Lake Washington. It’s been estimated that there are 109 planes, 50 ships, a coal train and many other objects sitting at the bottom of Lake Washington. Who knew that the
floating home community on Lake Union began in the 1880s? Wouldn’t you like to know more about the history behindthe area? Now you can Sea History with Argosy Cruises and The Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI).
The Sea History package includes a two-hour live-narrated boat tour of Lake Union and Lake Washington and admission into MOHAI. And, with MOHAI’s temporary exhibitions such as Celluloid Seattle: A City at the Movies, and
Still Afloat: A Contemporary History of Seattle’s Floating Homes (open June 15 through November 3), in addition to its permanent exhibits, you’ll learn more about Seattle history than you ever thought possible.
The Sea History package is available from May 24, 2013-September 2, 2013. Adult tickets are $37 and youth tickets are $12. From May 24, 2013-June 28, 2013, cruises run Mon-Fri, 1:15pm-3:15pm, Sat-Sun, 1:15pm-3:15pm and 3:30pm-5:30pm (3:30pm departure available after June 1, 2013). From May 27, 2013-September 2, 2013 cruises run daily, from 11:00am-1:00pm, 1:15pm-3:15pm, and 3:30pm-5:30pm. MOHAI is open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm, and on Thursdays from 10:00am to 8:00pm.
