Seattle Restaurant Week Launches with an Event in South Lake Union Friday

Seattle Restaurant Week, the dining promotion that offers three-course dinners for $28 at over 150 Seattle and Eastside area restaurants, is holding its first launch event this Friday, Oct. 14, in the South Lake Union Neighborhood and better yet, it’s a free event. The tasting event will feature several restaurants offering free bites at the plaza at Westlake and Denny beginning at 11:30 a.m.
The event is being held to jumpstart the excitement of the Sunday, Oct. 16 start of SRW, which will include a record number of restaurants, 153 total

WHAT: Free Seattle Restaurant Week launch event.
The public is invited to taste free samples from many restaurants participating in Seattle Restaurant Week. The lunchtime event is being held to celebrate the fourth Seattle Restaurant Week, beginning Sun., Oct. 16.
WHEN: Friday, Oct. 14, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
WHERE: 2201 Westlake Ave., Seattle 98109.
The event will take place in the plaza at the southwest corner of the Westlake and Denny intersection.

No tickets or reservations are necessary for the launch free event.
Seattle Restaurant Week will take place Oct. 16-27 (excluding Friday and Saturday) with over 150 King County restaurants offering three-course dinners for $28 and some participants offering three-course lunches for $15. With over 150 participating restaurants this is the largest Seattle Restaurant Week to date and remains the largest and most price conscious dining promotion in the area.
